Xin chao! Welcome to Vietnam. Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, private car and tour guide will pick you up at Tan Son Nhat International Airport with your name on board and then transfer you to hotel for check in , having lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon: Explore the fascinating Ho Chi Minh City and its many splendid attractions and sights on this exciting half-day tour.
Visit the famous War Remnants Museum and learn more about Vietnam's political and military history. Continue to the Reunification Palace, once the house of Indochina Governor and later the house of the South Vietnam Government. Admire its unique location and sensational architecture by the award-winning architect, Ngo Viet Thu, and then continue on to the fascinating Notre Dame Cathedral located nearby the Reunification Palace.
Designed by French architects, and built in and shipped from France, this unique building is both a masterpiece of French architecture and a powerful symbol of colonialism. The next stop of the tour is the stunning Thien Hau Pagoda, dedicated to the worship of the Mother of Sea whom helps the Qing dynasty people cross the sea to Saigon land safely.
Depart Ho Chi Minh City for a scenic drive along the National Highway, passing vibrant green rice fields and farmers tending their fields. Upon arrival at My Tho, cruise by motorized boat to the karst islands of Dragon Island, Unicorn Island, Tortoise Island, and Phoenix Island. Go to the fish farms of My Tho village, admiring the stilt houses and fruit plantations along the way. At Tortoise Island, sample the coconut candy of Vietnam’s coconut lands, and visit a handicrafts workshop.
Next, cruise through the Tan Thach canal in Ben Tre. Stop at a bee farm to taste some authentic honey tea, while the traditional folk music of Don Ca Tai Tu keeps you entertained. After lunch, it’s time to relax on a rowing boat tour of the small canals, or simply enjoy the peace of the countryside on a stroll through the fruit plantations.
Re-board the bus and drive to Can Tho to check into your accommodation, depending on your option chosen. For those that have chosen to stay in a bungalow or homestay, dinner is included, with the chance to learn how to cook Vietnamese food.
After breakfast, we'll head to the largest marketplace in the area: the amazing Floating Marking. Here you can cruise through the channels and check out what's on offer in this incredible market that exists entirely on the water!
From here, we'll head to visit a rice noodle making village, where you can learn how your daily noodles are made! Then we head down the river to the Monkey Bridge over the Delta, and find yet another glorious floating market for lunch. In the evening we will return to Ho Chi Minh City.

After lunch, you will move on to Cu Chi, located 60 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Known as the site from which the Vietnamese mounted their operations for the Tet Offensive in 1968, the area is rich with historical landmarks. Today a tranquil, pastoral setting, this area was once a "Free Target Zone" and suffered terrible destruction by bombs and mines.
