Visiting Prince of Bac Lieu House

If people have a chance to travel to Bac Lieu, they are difficult to ignore an attractive palace, Prince of Bac Lieu House. The house was designed by French engineer and all construction materials were brought from France. 

The original name of  Cong Tu Bac Lieu was Tran Trinh Huy, He was a well-known playboy in Bac Lieu and Southern in 1930s - 1940s. Tran Trinh Huy was born in a very rich and luxurious family; his father Tran Trinh Trach owned so many rice hectares and a lot of land. He was seemed the richest person at that time, he has once burned money to make sweet soup.

 



The home was built by landlord Tran Trinh Trach in 1919 and designed by a French architect. The two-story estate features long halls, spacious bedrooms and winding staircases.

The house of the Black Prince is located at number 13, Dien Bien Phu street, ward 3, Bac Lieu city, now it is Cong Tu Bac Lieu hotel with 6 bedrooms. In which, there are 5 common rooms with rate 250,000/ a night, particularly the Black Prince’s room costs as twice high as others, but tourists must book in advance because many people also expect to stay in this room.
