Quang Nam deployed a cashless event for the first time

During the press conference, the organizers shared details about the Quang Nam Cultural and Culinary Festival 2023

The organizers stated that the Quang Nam Cultural and Culinary Festival 2023 is the first of its kind and aims to honor, promote, and showcase the cultural, culinary, intangible cultural heritage, and unique tourism products of Quang Nam province to both domestic and international friends. This event also plays a significant role in reviving tourism and the economy after two years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the Hoai River Square in Hoi An City, the Quang Nam Cultural and Culinary Festival is expected to feature 50 booths representing 18 different cities and provinces, including Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Hue, and more.

Over the three days, several notable activities are scheduled. On December 30, 2023, there will be an opening ceremony, booth activities, voting for the most popular booth, and cooking demonstrations of "Mi Quang" (a local dish). On December 31, 2023, there will be cultural and culinary workshops, as well as a New Year's Eve celebration. The festival's last day will include a tea ceremony, a friendship banquet, and a cultural and artistic performance.

This Quang Nam Culinary Culture Festival aims to introduce to both domestic and international tourists the rich, unique, and authentic cuisine of Quang Nam. At the same time, the Quang Nam Culinary Culture Association also hopes that the culinary traditions will become an attractive and distinctive tourism product, attracting visitors to Quang Nam in particular and Vietnam as a whole.

Quang Nam is organizing its first-ever cashless cultural and culinary festival.

 Aligning with the national digital transformation trend, the organizers will collaborate with the iTourism digital platform by VietISO Corporation to implement a smart ticketing system.

Through the smart ticketing system, visitors will have two options for purchasing tickets to participate in the festival. They can buy tickets online through the iTourism digital platform or purchase them directly at the organizers' ticket counters. Regardless of the purchasing method, visitors will receive a personal QR code for use throughout the festival.

With the QR code received after ticket purchase, visitors can make payments at the booths, check their remaining voucher balances.

There will be two payment methods available for visitors at the Quang Nam Cultural and Culinary Festival. Visitors can either present their QR code for the booth to scan and process the payment, or they can scan the QR code on the bill order provided by the booth.

Regarding the refund process, visitors will also have two options for receiving refunds. Visitors can request a refund in person at the festival and receive cash back. In the other scenario, visitors can request an online refund. They simply need to provide their bank account information, and the remaining amount will be refunded to their account.

Additionally, during the festival, the booths will utilize the iTourism digital platform to digitize their menus for the duration of the event. Product listings, food items, and pricing will be updated on the iTourism platform. The booths will then directly place orders for customers using this platform. Each order generated will be paid for directly through a QR code, and these transactions will be automatically recorded within the application. This data will be stored, allowing booth owners and organizers to monitor booth revenue throughout the festival.

Easy revenue tracking: Through the iTourism digital platform, payment transactions will be automatically transparent, providing detailed revenue reports. This facilitates easy and accurate revenue tracking for both booth owners and organizers.

Quick and convenient payments: Instead of carrying a large amount of cash, visitors can use QR codes or the iTourism platform for payments, saving time and avoiding long lines at purchase counters.

Adaptation to digital payment trends: The shift towards digital payments is changing how tourists spend during their travels. Not using cash at the festival quickly adapts to this change, allowing smart and flexible consumption of tourism services.

Furthermore, the organizers of the Quang Nam Food Festival 2023 also emphasize the criteria of environmental protection and food safety. During the festival, only environmentally friendly materials will be used, and single-use plastic bags and nylon bags will be discouraged.

According to Mr. Ho Xuan Binh, Chairman of the Quang Nam Culinary Culture Association, "Food safety and hygiene will be closely monitored at all three stages: checking and supervising raw materials, monitoring during food processing, and waste management, ensuring the overall landscape and surrounding environment."
