Special Highlights in the 1st Quang Nam Cultural and Culinary Festival 2023

1. An Overview of the Quang Nam’s 2023 Culinary Culture Festival

At a press conference held on the afternoon of December 4th, the organizing committee announced that Quang Nam 2023 Cultural and Culinary Festival is being held to preserve and promote cultural, culinary, and tourism values, as well as the resources of Quang Nam province, to both domestic and international tourists.

Simultaneously, this year's culinary culture festival also contributes to enhancing the reputation and image of the people of Quang Nam and the nation of Vietnam on the international stage.

The festival will encompass numerous prominent cultural and culinary exchange events and is expected to feature around 50 exhibition booths from various provinces and cities, including Quang Nam, Hue, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, and more.

The opening ceremony of the 1st Quang Nam Cultural and Culinary Festival 2023, with the theme "Delicious Dishes of Quang Nam," will take place at 8:30 AM on December 30, 2023, at Song Hoai Square in Hoi An City. 

This event will be broadcast live on Quang Nam Radio and Television (QRT) and live-streamed on various central media platforms, provincial digital platforms, social media, and various online channels.

Furthermore, the program for honoring the cultural and culinary values of Quang Nam will be held at 7:30 PM on January 1, 2024, at the An Hoi stage, known as the venue for awarding the title of Hoi An - UNESCO's Creative City.

According to the organizing committee, Quang Nam Culinary and Culture Festival 2023 will distinguish itself from other festivals by adhering to green criteria and embracing digital transformation throughout the event. This makes this year's festival the first cashless culinary cultural event in Quang Nam.

2. Distinctive Features of the Quang Nam Culinary Culture Festival 2023

In line with the current digital transformation trend, this year's Quang Nam culinary cultural festival has collaborated with VietISO Corporation to integrate digital solutions into the organizing process.

Throughout the festival, a QR code ticketing system will be employed for selling tickets to visitors and for payment of purchases at various stalls through the SmartDex smart ticketing system and the iTourism digital platform. Specifically, the system will be implemented as follows:

Visitors can purchase tickets online through the iTourism digital platform app or directly at the ticket booths provided by the organizers. Purchasing tickets through the app allows visitors to conveniently buy tickets from anywhere.

Regardless of the purchase method chosen, each visitor will receive a unique QR code for use throughout the festival. This QR code can be used for making purchases, checking the remaining balance of vouchers, and more.

Furthermore, all stalls at the festival will utilize the iTourism digital platform app to digitize their menus, take orders from customers, and track their revenue throughout the festival. 

Stalls will upload all food items, products, services, and their respective prices onto the iTourism digital platform app. Subsequently, stall operators will have the ability to create orders directly from their mobile phones using the iTourism digital platform app.

Once an order is created, visitors will scan their QR codes for payment, and these transactions will be automatically stored on the iTourism digital platform. This enables both stall owners and organizers to monitor the actual revenue generated by the festival stalls.

After a customer requests a voucher refund, the organizers will initiate the review and processing of this request. The refund amount will be calculated based on the remaining balance in the customer's voucher. 

To check the remaining balance on the voucher, tourists can do so through the iTourism digital platform app or by scanning the QR code on the paper ticket. Tourists can open the iTourism digital platform app on their mobile phones and login to their accounts. Then, they can select the 'Check voucher balance' option enter the voucher code, or scan the QR code from the paper ticket to view the current balance.

In addition, according to the organizers, Quang Nam Cultural and Culinary Festival 2023 will also, for the first time, apply green criteria in its organization and management. At the booths and events within the festival, we will exclusively use environmentally friendly materials and ingredients. This includes saying no to plastic bags (nilon bags).

The integration of green criteria along with digital transformation makes Quang Nam Cultural and Culinary Festival 2023 a pioneering event that is 'cashless' in Quang Nam, demonstrating our commitment to responsible environmental management.
