Welcome to Vietnam! Our journey will start from Ho Chi Minh City, one of the most lively cities in Vietnam. Our tour guides will meet your at your hotel at 8.00am. We start our Ho Chi Minh tour by heading to Chinatown and wandering through the fascinating back streets near Cho Lon.
This area is one of the most busy commercial districts of Ho Chi Minh City and its atmospheric streets are home to some of the city’s most interesting sites. Following our market visit, we will have a traditional local Vietnamese lunch, "pho" or noodle soup. After lunch, tour guides take you for a sightseeing tour to several points in the city such as Ho Chi Minh City: Reunification Palace - the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until 1975, and other famous architecture in Saigon including Notre Dame Cathedral, City Post Office and the City People's Committee.
At 6.00pm, you are picked up at the hotel to get to see Water Puppet Theatre - one of the cultural heritage of Vietnam. Here you will enjoy the performances recreated the nation's history, the folk countryside of Vietnam. End of enjoying water puppetry performances, on the way to the pier for dinner you will have a glimpse into the City at night by cyclo (15-20 minutes).
You will experience an unforgettable one-half hours on the boat enjoying the traditional dishes of Asian cuisine while enjoying views of Saigon by night and singing performances - folk dance with the traditional ethnic instruments will also be taking place during this period. You will spend this night at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast at hotel, car and tour guides will welcome you and depart for the West. Go to My Tho, you will be transferred by ships passing through the river, and visit Cu Lao located between Tien Giang and Ben Tre, we will walk on village paths and observe the daily life of the local people here. We also visit the handicraft workshops - where the products you see are made from coconut trees, visit the homes of the locals and enjoy honey tea, honey wine, fruits featuring locally tropical plants and are treated to traditional music performances.
Next, we will travel by rowing boat along the narrow canal, which is limited on both sides by two rows of water coconut to gain more exciting discoveries about the western rivers. To a coconut candy workshop, you can see in detail how people processed coconut candy - a famous specialty of the region. Towards the end of the day, we arrive at the home of a local family, where we stay in dormitory-style accommodation. The local owners will be your welcoming hosts for the evening and can tell you more about life in the Delta.
Facilities at the homestay are basic. We sleep on camp beds in a communal room for all members of the group. Bedding and mosquito nets are provided. Homestay facilities can vary as we stay with several different families.
Rising early to the sounds on the Delta, jump on a bicycle to visit the local market, then back to our homestay to help our host prepare lunch or to do some gardening. After lunch, we say goodbye to our friendly host and return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Return to Saigon, we continue to visit the other interesting sites such as factory lacquer crafts - where you can observe the production stages of traditional craft products from natural materials available like egg shells, shells, bamboo shaft…
You have a free evening to explore more about Ho Chi Minh City then go back to your hotel, prepare for the next day.
