Located in the southeast of Ha Long Bay, 25km off from Bai Chay cruise port, Cong Do Island is inside Bai Tu Long Bay. The island has an area of 23 363 km2 with 172 m high mountain. This is one of the many beautiful islands in the sea has wonderful natural salt lake, making it home to many species of marine life such as shrimp, crab, fish, squid, seaweed, algae.

Southeast of the island still has remnants of the old Van Don trading port, however faint, but it confirms that Cong Do islands formerly held key positions in commerce and trade with foreign countries.
