The weather in Dalat

The weather in Dalat is very different from other regions in Vietnam. So you should know about the weather to prepare the suitable clothes and find the best time to traveling. 

With an altitude of 1,475m, Da Lat has temperate climate with an average annual temperature of 17.8ºC, highest in April (19.1ºC) and lowest in December (15.7ºC). The lowest average daily temperature is 15ºC and the highest is of 24ºC. Therefore, Da Lat has four seasons in one day: spring in the morning, summer in the afternoon, autumn in the early evening, and winter at night.

 

Dry season in Da Lat lasts from December to March and rainy season lasts from April to November. Da Lat is mainly influenced by the north-east monsoon in the dry season and the south-west monsoon in the rainy season.

When the north-east monsoon intermittently flows, Da Lat climate becomes dry. The sky is always bright, the weather is cool and comfortable. This is the best time for sports and tourism activities. The average humidity of this season is the lowest, about 82%.

 

The south-west monsoon in collaboration with tropical low pressures and storms brings Da Lat an average annual rainfall of 1,600mm.

The stable weather means that any time can be an excellent time to visit Dalat.
