Ho Chi Minh City launches another airport-downtown bus service
A new bus route linking Ho Chi Minh City's downtown area and Tan Son Nhat Airport was launched on Thursday.
Like its cousin route No.109 started about two months ago, the route No.49 is operated with modern buses imported from South Korea. Its staff is also trained and equipped with English and communication skills.
The new service has more stops, most near big hotels, and charges passengers a flat fare of VND40,000.
It takes 30-40 minutes to complete the whole journey. The service is available between 5 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. the next day.
Passengers of the route No.109, meanwhile, pay VND12,000 if they travel less than half of the distance and the full fare VND20,000.
