Nem Nuong Ninh Hoa

Talking about the cuisine of Nha Trang, people will surely mention "nem nướng" (girlled nem) Ninh Hoa or Nha Trang. Nem Nuong Nha Trang is also known as  the best street food that you should try. 

The ingredient contains "nem chua" or "nem nuong". However, almost tourists would like to enjoy "nem nuong" and buy "nem chua" as a gift for the close ones.

 

Nem Ninh Hoa also uses julienne pigskin as "nem chua Thanh Hoa". However, instead of wrapping nem in banana leaves, "nem Nha Trang" is wrapped by “ lá chùm ruột” or starfruit leaf to make aroma.

Enjoying nem nuong Ninh Hoa, you will feel the aroma of meat, sweet sour, crispy, and spicy blended together, it is very interesting. In particular, nem nuong (grilled nem) is served with green papaya salad that brings a new flavor. Moreover, the pork is boldly seasoned with garlic, sugar, and black pepper is pounded into a paste and wrapped on bamboo chopsticks and grilled to perfection. It’s served with a platter of fresh herbs and pickled vegetables and everything comes together by wrapping it all in rice paper and dipping it into a special sauce.

 

The sauce is the key to this dish and simply put, is amazingly delicious. Minced pork is mixed in a sauce that is equal parts peanutty, salty, and sweet. The dish is served with grilled pork, a deepfried spring roll wrapper, and salad wrapped in rice paper. Price ranged from VND 40.000 to VND 60.000/set.
